PJ Harvey sur le retour

La date de sortie du nouvel album de PJ Harvey -24 septembre-, son titre -White Chalk- et son orientation piano officialisés depuis quelques jours, il ne restait plus qu'à entendre certains des titres qui le composeront. Ce fut le cas pour certains chanceux ce week end -le 07/07/07- à Manchester alors que l'anglaise s'y produisait pour son premier concert exceptionnel de l'été, les deux autres étant prévus les 13 et 14 à Barcelone et Madrid. Et il n'aura pas fallu attendre longtemps pour qu'un de ces privilégiés publie une vidéo sur Youtube. Voici donc "Silence" où Polly Jean en robe "Laura Ingalls" se prend pour Tori Amos :

C'est beau, propre et compatible de son approche de la quarantaine (comme le soulignent les propos rapportés dans cet article du Guardian) mais j'espère qu'elle n'en oubliera pas pour autant totalement son côté électrisant sur scène... Même si en vieillissant les chutes font de plus en plus mal.
